GoKwik vs Shopflo vs Razorpay Magic Checkout: an honest 2026 comparison for Shopify India

The three checkouts Indian D2C brands shortlist most, compared on the things that actually differ: who holds the money, who sets the COD rules, how tracking works and how pricing is done — plus when each one is the right pick.

Most comparison posts about Indian checkout apps are written by one of the vendors, and this one is no exception — we build IndiSell. So the rules here are strict: every statement about GoKwik, Shopflo or Razorpay Magic is either a structural fact (who processes the payment, how the product is sold) or what their own site says, attributed as such. Verify each on their site before deciding. And each one gets a genuine 'when it's the better pick'.

The one question that decides most of it

Who processes the money? Razorpay Magic requires Razorpay as your payment gateway — the checkout and the gateway are one product. GoKwik and Shopflo are checkout layers whose payment arrangements are agreed commercially with them. IndiSell orchestrates the gateways you already have — Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, PhonePe — and settlement stays direct between your gateway and your bank. If you have a gateway relationship you want to keep, or want to run two gateways side by side, that single fact narrows the list.

Checkout experience

  • GoKwik — one-click checkout drawing on a large cross-brand shopper network for prefill, plus KwikPass login and cart-drawer products, per their site.
  • Shopflo — a customisable one-page checkout with a discount engine, login and analytics, positioned on conversion and AOV, per their site.
  • Razorpay Magic — prefill from Razorpay's saved-profile base across its merchants, per Razorpay's docs; genuinely wide for returning shoppers.
  • IndiSell — phone-first OTP checkout with a network address book across IndiSell stores, UPI-first payments and Shopify draft-order pricing so the browser can never change what's charged.

COD and RTO control

All four advertise COD risk tooling. The difference is where the controls live. GoKwik and Shopflo describe RTO protection and COD-conversion features on their sites; configuration depth depends on your programme with them. Razorpay Magic offers RTO and COD intelligence flags with partial COD by buyer-risk category. IndiSell puts the rules in your dashboard: a 0–100 score on every attempt, actions per band (allow, partial advance, block), pincode and state gates, per-phone daily caps, product and collection gates, and a simulator that shows what any rule change would do before shoppers feel it. If you want to change a COD rule at 11pm on a sale night without a support ticket, that matters.

Recovery and ad tracking

Cart recovery is table stakes; the useful question is whether it reaches a verified phone. Ad tracking is where the gap is widest: browser pixels never see a COD order convert at the doorstep days later. IndiSell uploads conversions server-side — Google Ads offline conversions, Meta CAPI, GA4 — with hashed identity, and retracts them when a COD order cancels. The other three offer standard pixel and event integrations per their sites; check specifically whether COD delivery outcomes are fed back to the ad platforms.

Pricing model

  • GoKwik — not published; sales-led, typically discussed against your volume.
  • Shopflo — a pricing page exists on their site; confirm current terms there.
  • Razorpay Magic — bundled with Razorpay's payment pricing.
  • IndiSell — per order, or plan plus commission, agreed per store, no lock-in, and every feature in every plan.

When each one is the right pick

  • GoKwik if you are a large brand that wants a managed, network-driven programme and is comfortable negotiating commercial terms.
  • Shopflo if checkout customisation and a discount engine are your priorities and you are happy with their payment arrangement.
  • Razorpay Magic if you are all-in on Razorpay as your gateway anyway and want checkout from the same vendor.
  • IndiSell if you want gateway-agnostic checkout where the risk rules, recovery and ad tracking are yours to configure, with settlement staying direct.
  • Shopify's native checkout if you are mostly prepaid, low COD share and low volume — the default may be all you need.

How to actually decide

Ask every vendor the same three questions: where does my money settle and on what timeline; where do I change a COD rule; and what do I pay on an order that comes back. Then put your own numbers in the RTO calculator and compare total cost, not headline rate. The full five-way comparison covers the same ground with Shiprocket Checkout and native Shopify included.
